Exciting News: I Passed Altenew’s Level One Educator Classes!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially completed Level One of the Altenew Educator Certification Program and earned my Level One Badge! 🎉 This journey has been such a rewarding and creative experience—from exploring new techniques to experimenting with fresh ideas for cardmaking. Each class pushed me to grow, and I’ve loved every moment of it.

Now, I’m beyond excited to be moving on to Level Two, where I’ll continue learning and refining my skills. I can’t wait to share more of what I’m discovering—along with new card designs, inspiration, and tips that I hope will encourage you in your own crafting adventures. I’m excited to kick off Level Two of the Altenew Educator Certification Program with the first course: Beyond Basic Backgrounds! This class is all about transforming your card designs by creating backgrounds that truly wow.

In Beyond Basic Backgrounds, we learned how to elevate our handmade cards by focusing on the often-overlooked foundation: the background! The techniques taught in this class take cards from simple to stunning, using creative approaches with stamps, inks, dies, stencils, and more. Whether it’s subtle texture or bold visual impact, these backgrounds set the perfect stage for your focal elements.

I especially enjoyed how the instructor shared fun tips and techniques to improve our use of background stamps, embossing folders, ink blending, and layering.
